Hi, I'm Iain,
Founder and the Inspiration behind IHM Coaching
We all have our own journeys...I'd love to hear yours soon.
Mine started in Nursing within the NHS, specialising in HIV and Palliative Care. It spoke to my values of nurturing, trust, helping others, and a passion for people. It also introduced me to the importance of Team Work. From Nursing, I transitioned into the Pharmaceutical Industry, leading and creating high-performing global teams throughout. During my corporate career, I gained additional specialist knowledge within governance and process development, providing me with greater insights into productivity, efficiencies and the need for simplification and understanding.
Throughout my career, I have learned to truly recognise and understand the capabilities of an individual irrespective of any hierarchy or role. What are their values, drivers, aspirations, and how do these complement or conflict with others? Looking at the individual holistically leads to the ability to create and develop higher performing teams.
Creating my own coaching company and having the privilege to coach and mentor speaks to my desire to help others develop and explore how their existing or under-utilised skills and experience has a positive impact.
More recently I have signed up as a volunteer Mentor for Enterprise Nation; one of the small business support providers tasked with delivering voluntary mentoring as part of the government's flagship Help to Grow: Management Course. I am also Chair and Trustee across several Educational and Charitable Trustee Boards.
People inspire me...let me inspire You.

What do I bring?
Using leadership skills from over 30 years within both NHS and Corporate environments, I am passionate for development, growth and change, through Insightful, Holistic, & Motivational Coaching.
As an effective thought partner, I work with individuals and teams to help navigate through ambiguity, helping you or your team obtain clarity. I am willing to challenge to crystallise your thoughts and ideas.
With additional focus on Mental Health and Well-Being, I enable self-belief and nurture the core skills within individuals to maximise their potential, revisit their aspirations, and reconnect these to both Individual and Organisational values. This results in a motivated workforce that value their contribution to strategies and deliverables.
My experience in Healthcare and Pharmaceutical leadership across global teams, allows a strategic insight to both the business and the individual, focusing on innovation and development of team members, simplified processes, and delivery models, providing increases in efficiency and productivity.
Maximising individual excellence through coaching and mentoring, I recognise the inherent skills and positive influences that can be nurtured and established within globally diverse integrated teams, resulting in increased engagement and talent retention.
As a solution identifier, I empower global and remote teams to deliver excellence at strategic and operational levels, for the benefit to both the individual and company. As a trusted leader and collaborator, I have successfully coached professionals from new aspiring team members to senior and C-suite Leaders, looking to enhance their capabilities through periods of organisational change management or personal career development and transition.

What does the IHM logo represent?
The shining lighthouse cradled in palms was designed by my daughter and based on a tattoo design she created for me a few years ago. It represents a number of core values that are important to me (including Authenticity)
The cradling palms represent Nurturing and Caring, both inherent in my career and what drives me at my best.
A lighthouse indicates safety, but also Trust. A beacon trusted by sailors around the world preventing harm.
The beacon of light from the lighthouse represents the symbol for the Camino de Santiago (The way of St. James), signifying a journey that we all take, but also reflects Respect to both the path itself and to those that follow it.
